Who we are

At Western Public Contracting, operating as Connexion Paving, we are a High River-based asphalt paving contractor dedicated to delivering superior infrastructure solutions. We specialize in asphalt paving, crack sealing, line painting, and comprehensive road maintenance for municipal and commercial clients throughout Alberta.

Founded in 2018 by Olivier Mercier, our company was built on a philosophy of service. We believe that building better roads starts with building better relationships. Our deep roots in the High River community drive everything we do: from coaching after-school youth sports to supporting local charity events, we are proud to be a partner in the growth and safety of our neighborhoods.

What truly sets us apart is our team. The majority of our crew members are current or former first responders: firefighters, law enforcement officers, and paramedics. We bring the same discipline, hard work, and commitment to customer service that defined our public safety careers to every paving project we undertake.
